Sup Euromedian, My name is Cynthia J., I’m born & raised in Montreal, QC, but have now been living in Ottawa, ON for the past 4.5 years. I work full time as a Computer/Network Technician for HP. Hobbies…. I enjoy doing a lot of things, but I guess if I have to pick a few, id say, playing video games, working on our cars (My boyfriend Marc’s Golf & my GTi), working on computers.
How long have you owned this car?
I have owned my GTi since November of 2006, so almost 4yrs.
Is there anything unique about the history of this car?
Both owners of the GTi, that’s including myself were/are females.
What other cars did you consider?
I considered purchasing a 2drs ’01 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS STi Edition
What was your objective with this car?
When I first got the GTi, I wanted to mod it more towards performance, but I changed my mind fairly fast after certain laws passed here in Ontario.
What tuning style would you describe this car as?
Clean, but simple
Who helped you build this car?
My boyfriend Marc, a few friends as well have helped along the way with decisions, information, assisting with install of mods & of course myself.
What makes your car special?
The car itself isnt that special, aside that there isn’t that many 24v VR6 GTi’s around these parts. but the fact that I did most of the work on my GTi myself. I don’t know a lot of female dubbers & even less female that actually do their own work on their cars, that in itself I think is quite special.
What is your favorite part/feature/function?
The sound of the exhaust note going through a tunnel. The sound is just so sweet.
Who or what inspired the direction of modifications on this car?
There has been many cars that have influenced directly & indirectly modifications along the way. I wont start naming people, but they are mostly all MkIV OG’s.
What don’t you like about this car?
The hundred of stone chips
What was your biggest obstacle in building this car?
I think it’s the same for everyone… Money!
On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the outcome of this project?
Im not done, so I will give it a solid 6 out of 10
What would you do to the car if money were no object?
Definitely a Turbo Setup, Full Paint Respray & body modifications.

My boyfriend Marc & myself
Who gets to drive this car?
Myself & occasionally Marc. Most people are kinda scared to drive my car, in the event they break something. lol

Whateva, I do what I want!!
If you had to name your car, what would you name it?
I actually named my GTi, he goes by the name of Morpheus
