so many looks, one clean car.

My name is Brian Crook Jr, Virginia beach VA, Logistics Engineer for the USCG, hobbies include building cars and call of duty.

How long have you owned this car?
I’ve owned the car about 5 months now

Is there anything unique about the history of this car?
I think it was actually a car that was owned by a drug dealer before me, I got it on a lot in Richmond Virginia and it was shady to say the least.

What other cars did you consider?
I didn’t consider anything else, I’ve owned MK3’s before, and I’ve owned a MK2 and a MKIV, and I just knew I wanted a cabrio more than anything else.

What was your objective with this car?
I’m far from finished, but the objective is to turn a “chick car” into something that people will actually take a grown man serious in ;)

What tuning style would you describe this car as?
Low, Slow, and classy for sure, I’ve never really cared to much about speed or high horse powered cars, or even turning fast.  I have mostly always been about driving down the road and getting looks like, “who even does this kind of stuff”, or “how does he even drive a car that low”

Who helped you build this car?
My best friends, my beautiful girlfriend Krystal, Scott, Jesse, Kevin, Tek, my good friend who’s also my painter Tyler K, Evan and Dave at CARS, Dirty Jake, Brandon Nero, and thanks to anyone else who’s helped me so far.

What makes your car special?
It’s a cabrio, you don’t see many modified ones rolling down the road.

What is your favorite part/feature/function?
Wheels, without a question.  I’ve always said wheels make a car.  And I’ve gone through a TON of them.

Who or what inspired the direction of modifications on this car?
Everyone doing big things, especially the Europeans right now.  They are KILLING it in the cabrio world.  The pictures that were just taken from MIVW were so inspiring.

What don’t you like about this car?
Top leaks, lol it’s a cabrio thing, you wouldn’t understand ;)

What was your biggest obstacle in building this car?
Not having a place to work on it.  I live in a townhouse with only 2 measly little parking sports, it makes working on a car very difficult.  But I manage.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the outcome of this project?
Well its not finished yet, but so far I’m at a 6, it turns heads and makes people look, but its not a complete show stopper yet.

What would you do to the car if money were no object?
Haha, I can’t give my secrets away, all I know is that it will make people real mad

Who has been your biggest critic of this project?
I’d have to say my Girlfriend, she’s always telling me what she likes and doesn’t like, while I try and convince her that something is dope, she just can’t like it.

Who gets to drive this car?
Anyone who asks, I believe at SOWO this  year 4 different people actually drove my car.  And at WF this year a few people drove it.  Its just a car, and I built it so far for people to have fun, and that’s what they usually do.

If your car had a motto, what would it be?
Sorry brian, but I’m going to break today.

If you had to name your car, what would you name it?
It has a name, its called the bro.

What one word best describes your car?
Fun.
